365 Days & Counting...

I was very inspired by the many 365 projects I was following last year. One particular project that stood out for me was Skye's project.  Have you not heard of her yet? Well, head on over to http://skyepennant.blogspot.com/ and get following. She has a great blog, that covers crafting, baking, photography and to stay (a little) on topic, she's gluten free too! So her recipes she publishes are gluten free friendly to boot! Her 365 project can be found here: http://skyepennantproject365.tumblr.com.  If you like what you see, you can have a little piece of art made by her! She has her own shop at this link here: http://iamhandmade.bigcartel.com/

So, getting back to my point - I figured I'd give it a go this year. The 365 photo thing. Yes, I am definitely procrastinating again. I have a gallon of information to put up on my other pages that are desperately needing updating, but I can't help but give in to the temptation of this project. So I have published a new page where I will be indulging my photography side. *points to the top right hand corner, just under the blog header* The tab that simply reads '365'. I will update this page every now and then - when I get the time to and you are welcome to have a browse. Blogger won't let you leave comments on pages, but I welcome any and all feedback about my little side project. If the urge takes you - feel free to email me, visit my facebook page or contact me via twitter.

The direct link to my 365 page is here: http://glutenfreephotos.blogspot.com/p/365.html

The cameras I'll be using for this will be (in no particular order) my android phone, my Canon 40D (using a 50mm f1.8 prime lens), my Fujifilm HS10 bridge camera (my 'go to' camera - with an amazing macro lens on it, as well as incredible telephoto), my Diana Mini (with flash and colour filters for my flash), an Olympus E500 (with an array of lenses to choose from), my Polaroid camera (the original and best, with real polaroid film!)

Taken using my husband's phone

So each day will have an image captured from any of the above equipment. Like all projects, it's exciting to start - but hopefully I'll stand the test of time and get the full year of pictures. I think the real challenge is choosing one picture for the day, as I take lots of photos every day! I really like the idea of getting to show people what I see when I look through a lens. I also think this project will make me think about my environment differently, well I hope it will at least help me gain a new visual perspective of my surroundings.
